President Bola Tinubu has granted his official endorsement for the appointment of Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi as the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Arabi's tenure is set for an initial four-year term.

A press release, issued under the auspices of Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the President's Media and Public Relations Adviser, confirmed this development. As part of the transition, President Tinubu has directed the outgoing chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, and the chief executive of the board to commence their three-month vacation period, in accordance with the provisions of Public Service Law (PSR) 120243. This will lead to their final retirement from service on January 17, 2023, as reported by our reliable source, Daily Nigerian, effective October 18, 2023.

Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi, the newly appointed Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), is scheduled to commence his responsibilities on October 18, 2023. He will serve a full four-year term, with his tenure ending on January 17, 2023.

President Tinubu expressed his hope that the new leadership of NAHCON will uphold the principles of their work in accordance with the Holy Qur'an and serve with a deep sense of responsibility.
